I was born and raised in Jamaica. While in the military I got the opportunity to go home with one of my friends to Mississippi. The culture and expectations were easy to see to I followed. When the women separated I went with them. Everyone executed in a sequence that followed with a community schedule I could tell what to do next…I loved it so much and I’m grateful they loved me too. I am grateful to know better than to think black Americans do not have culture. It’s American too

especially the 300+ inventions that we still use today , even when it comes down to the " door knob" and feminine hygiene products.
